At the time, he was rank 15 on the pokemonshowdown anythinggoes ladder, and he got his revenge on me later ^-^. A few hours later, he was at rank 6. This team actually beat the rank 2 guy before, although I was extremely lucky that game.

I've always wanted to make a good baton pass team. This team is the result of several hours of tweaking based on what I ran into on ladder. Espeon's magic bounce helps a lot. I tried using a shell bell, but I just enjoyed the consistency of leftovers, getting the health boost on the turn I switch Espeon in, and also when my opponent tries to use protect, or when I use calm mind. Unaware users are not really safe from stored power, because it does not negate the base damage boost stored power gets. Latios has a focus sash.

Normally I try to set some stealth rocks with groudon or spikes with klefki if I see an opposing marshadow or smeargle in the team preview, and try to cycle with roar to disable their focus sashes. Ditto can sometimes swoop in and save a lost game if they set up too much on one pokemon. Prankster Klefki is there to set up screens, and also has foul play to punish some swords dance users. People expect my smeargle to have focus sash, but really, with either the screens or memento effect, it's extremely unlikely to one-shot my smeargle with highly defensive EVs. He gets the outspeed with a tailwind from Latios, and I also have Cotton guard, which gives +3 Def, and Geomancy, for +2 SpD, so if I predict properly, it's nearly impossible to one-shot him. His other two moves are spore and baton pass, and my opponent played around the possibility of spore by switching in to Serperior, which is immune because it's a grass type. I knew he might do that, so I just used geomancy, and even if he didn't, his arceus probably can't one-shot smeargle. I used calm mind on espeon because I can't typically one-shot Zygarde with just one geomancy boost, despite having an effective base power of 420 (140 from stored power * 1.5 from stab * 2 from +2 SpA).

I got up to top 200 on ladder with this team. It struggles vs things that taunt smeargle, or teams with a lot of physical priority moves. Mimikyu with its super effective priority stab move shadow sneak, combined with disguise can take down a buffed espeon if I don't have time to transfer cotton guard to her. Nevertheless, it's pretty consistent. I think I could take this to top 100, but I don't wanna grind for that.
