Day 3 of my story attempting to walk and wild camp The Two Moors Way, Devon’s Coast to Coast
A UK long distance National trail at 117 miles.
Starting at Wembury in South Devon a few hours from Plymouth
Walking through Dartmoor National Park and across the western edge of Exmoor
Finishing on the North Coast at Lynton

To Grimspound. Aiming for Chagford Common.

Easy walk through to Scorriton and Holne missing out on a bacon buttie (too early and impatient ).
Fabulous walk alongside the River Dart
Up onto a few Tors and a drop down into pretty little village of Ponsworthy distracted (again) by thatched cottages and missed turning. 😊
Little bit of road work and then drop down detour to Widecombe in the Moor for a pie
Steep ascent out of Widecombe up to over 500 metres
Losing potential daylight time and needing to seek shelter from wind and forecast drop in temperature pitched up at Grimspound a Bronze Age settlement dating back to 1300 B.C.
What a place, what an atmosphere

My aim it to tell my story in as honest way as possible.
This isn’t a guide video (although i do try to highlight parts, wild camp spots and tips/wisdom I learn along the way)
The photos and videos are as taken. No filters etc have been attempted.

I am not in charge of the weather. If its grey, raining or windy that’s what it was. (Maybe I’ll get better footage next time. Next time… 🤣😆)
