Sandakphu Trek 2021 || Ep-2 || Manebhanjan to Tumling || Day -2 || Tour Guide || Highway Away

Day 2: Manebhanjan to Tumling (Altitude of 9,450 ft)

We started our journey at 10:30 in the morning. Before starting the trek, Dhrub Da ( Trek Leader ) introduced us to a local guide, Gajen who was going to guide us throughout the whole trek. Gajen always led us from the front and Dhrub da from the back. It was about 3 km ascent through the forest which is why it took us about 2 hours to reach Chittrey, which was our tea point. Just beside our tea point, there was a small monastery with a Buddhist flag. From Chittrey we continued our trek towards Lamadhura which was our Lunch point. Chittrey to Lamadhura is about 4 km distance including the ascent through the forest and the motor road. Nearly at 2:30 PM we all got done with the lunch and continued to trek towards Tumling which was our campsite and at 2 km from Meghma. Meghma to Tumling was flat walks ascend on the motor road. This motor road was not as flat as we trekkers had imagined. The route was an anfractous one. It was looking simple but was very difficult to climb. After the 2.5 hours of walk, we reached to our Second camp i.e. Tumling which is in Nepal . Tumling is located at the altitude of 9450 ft. After some stretching lessons from Nil da we had our tea session where Dhrub da instructed us with next day’s itinerary. We ended our day with little chit chats hoping for a better tomorrow.
