Vietnam's far Northern provinces are the most unique and beautiful in the country. Some of these places receive large numbers of travellers, most receive very few.

Cao Bang Province runs a jagged frontier along the Chinese border and is among the least visited. But it's every bit as beautiful as its neighbours - and it's home to what are probably Vietnam's most dramatic waterfalls - at Ban Gioc....
