Kai Eckhardt - Fretless solo for John McLaughlin

Tonight: A little dedication for John McLaughlin featuring the PHD signature fretless bass by Parizad Hatcher.

It is short, but with dense harmonies, so it can be expanded into a full blown composition.

John McLaughlin was my mentor and band-boss the same way Miles Davis was his mentor back in the day. John was a great role model for me. His level of discipline and clean habits were (and continue to be) exemplary. He was also well rounded and well read. I tried to emulate that as best as possible, always reading a good book and being interested in a variety of subjects, languages, science, philosophy and life in general. Thank you John !
