STILL SITTING SHIVA | Jewish Mourning Customs | Orthodox Jewish Mom (Jar of Fireflies)

We are about halfway through the shiva (Jewish mourning period). We continue to see visitors, share stories, and I get to learn new traditions. Now that the shock of my father in law’s death has worn off, my husband continues to observe the shiva according to our Jewish traditions. I continue to help him as well as handle regular life (which is up in the air and on pause) as I wade and middle through this learning curve.
