Melanie Harris is a psychotherapist working in private practice near Guildford, in Surrey. She qualified with a Masters degree from Roehampton University, and has experience working in the NHS as well as the charitable and private sectors. Although an integrative therapist, Melanie's work and understanding of human struggle is heavily influenced by Compassion Focused Therapy, and she was honoured to speak at the 11th Annual CFT conference in 2022 to present a piece of research she had carried out into therapists experiences of using CFT to work with complex trauma. When not working, Melanie can often be found outdoors exploring the beautiful Surrey Hills, experimenting with growing new varieties of veg on her allotment, or seeking out any slither of sunshine to bask in.
