Shades of Grey Series #9- Acrylic Paint Pouring- Abstract Art- Golden Pouring Medium- SOLD

Описание к видео Shades of Grey Series #9- Acrylic Paint Pouring- Abstract Art- Golden Pouring Medium- SOLD

It started with 3 pours...This fluid art painting is part of my Shades of Grey series, made only with the colors available in the 12 Shades of Grey acrylic art set. This has been a wonderful experiment, watching how these subtle colors interact and complement each other. I am not compensated at all by this company, I just really liked the product. I mix it with Golden Color Acrylic Pouring Medium (gloss) at about a 1:5 ratio, generous on the pouring medium side.
What I've loved about this pouring medium is how it dries. It is glossy smooth and almost makes the painting look varnished. If you would like to see other paintings from this series, they are currently available on my site SaritaLaroche.com

FAQ:
What is fluid art?
Fluid art painting AKA flow art, is an abstract, painting process, using liquified paints poured onto a surface. The most common paints used are acrylic paints, mixed with a pouring medium and/or water. There are also ready-made, pouring paints available, at many arts and crafts stores. Although fluid art has a way of surprising us with a mind of its own, it is not without thought and composition. There are many techniques that will give specific effects, as well as pitfalls to avoid. Color choices, the layering of certain colors beside each other, the brand of paint, the pouring medium and any additives to the mix, will all give very different results. It is a dynamic and sometimes messy endeavor. It is our hope that these videos will be useful in helping anyone who would like to try it for themselves, but also just enjoyable to sit back, watch and relax.

How long do the paintings take to dry?
About 3 days to be touchable and 30 days to cure before they can be varnished.

What kind of pouring medium should I use?
There are many painting mediums to choose from, depending on what you plan to do with the final product. You can buy artist quality pre-mixed mediums from companies who produce acrylic paint. Or, if you are painting with children, you can substitute with Elmer's Glue All and water to thin the paints.
