About the Translator:

Michael Favala Goldman (he, him) is a translator of Danish literature, a poet, educator, and jazz clarinetist. Over 130 of Michael's translations and poems have appeared in periodicals such as The Harvard Review, The Los Angeles Review, and The New Yorker. He has translated 17 books of Danish poetry and prose, including Dependency, book three of The Copenhagen Trilogy by Tove Ditlevsen, which was selected among New York Times’ Ten Best Books of 2021. Goldman’s eight books of poetry include Small Sovereign which won first prize at the 2022 Los Angeles Book Festival. He lives in Northampton, MA. https://michaelfavalagoldman.com/

Rebecca Bach-Lauritsen (she, her) is a bestselling Danish writer. She authored several acclaimed children's books after graduating from The Danish Academy for Children’s Literature in 2010. Her books have been translated into multiple languages, and she has won several awards for her work writing and hosting a children’s TV show for The Danish Broadcasting Corporation. Currently, she holds the position of Head of Education at The Cross-Media School of Children's Fiction. She lives with her husband and children in Freetown Christiania, Copenhagen, Denmark. About the Illustrator:

Anna Margrethe Kjærgaard (she, her) is a well-established Danish illustrator. She trained at the Royal Danish Academy of Design and Akademia Sztuk Pieknich in Poland. She has illustrated many books and is the recipient of numerous awards, including the Danish Ministry of Culture Illustrator Award. Coffee, Rabbit, Snowdrop, Lost, her first book to be published in the US, received many glowing reviews and was a 2022 finalist for the prestigious Kirkus Prize in the Young Readers category’s well as a Batchelor Honor Book.
