British comedian Lee Nelson (Simon Brodkin) interrupted Volkswagen board member, Juergen Stackmann, during the opening of the Geneva motorshow yesterday (2 March).

Nelson somehow found his way onto the heavily secured stage exclaiming "I have the cheat box", "Mr.Muller said it was OK, so long as no one finds out" in a mock German accent.

The character comedian, who has previously showered Sepp Blatter with dollar bills during a FIFA press conference, is thought to have crashed the presentation in protest at the "dieselgate" scandal surrounding the brand.

The scandal, which hit the brand last year, came about when the Environmental Protection Agency accused Volkswagen of cheating on the emissions tests of nearly half a million TDI diesel cars.
