Exterior + Interior of Dorasan Railway Station-DMZ (Demilitarized Zone), Korea

Описание к видео Exterior + Interior of Dorasan Railway Station-DMZ (Demilitarized Zone), Korea

The Dorasan Train Station is located in the Demilitarized Zone (DMZ) near the South/North Korean border. It was built at a cost of $40 million with the intent of linking South and North Korea by rail. In 2000, both countries agreed to this and the mines and barbed wire in the area were removed. For a short time, some freight flowed back and forth from the Kaesong Industrial complex in North Korea where South Koreans are permitted to work. However, tensions between the two countries put an end to the railway link, at least for now. The beginning of the video is a briefing giving some of the history behind the train station. We go inside the station at the 2:10 mark.
