No drinks, just inks 😉

This is one supposedly brown ink I will be using during this month of browns that looks green to me. Maybe my batches were off; maybe it's Maybelline ~ er, my lighting situation? No matter what this ink's box indicates or what vendors' websites claim in their descriptions of the color of this ink (I am looking at you the normally reliable Vanness), this ink is green. Does anyone else have a bottle of this ink where their ink also looks green?

Note, this isn't one of those bewitched Sailor Yurameku Series 2 inks that shift color once dry, so it's interesting to see that there is no getting around the fact that this is a green ink, not a brown one.

To be honest, it is not disappointing to me to end up with a green ink when expecting a brown one because green is my favorite color of ink, and this one is quite lovely.

I remember when I was first reading about Troublemaker inks: I thought folx were just referring to misbehaving inks, sort of like this one is misbehaving on Tomoe River paper of all papers, so that company name suits this ink today.

Yes, that is thunder you are hearing in the background. We had a short power outage late this afternoon, but at least no tree damage around my block, unlike many other areas where trees have uprooted lawns, sidewalks, and crashed through houses and cars. Heatwave plus thunderstorms equals UGH!!

As previously mentioned, it is likely for the remainder of the month I'll be using the Serendipity Hybrid dip pen because I've simply got too many pens inked to be able to contemplate cleaning them later on to fill more pens, so I'll be using these wonderful dip pens instead. But, unbeknownst to me, there IS some bit of #ASMR from the nib and by me fumbling with notebooks.
