So I put in overhead wires, reconfigured the electric ⚡️ wire and put fine black netting between the wires and the 10,000 v electric fence was switched on. The heron arrived from a different direction, over the green house, walked over the off cuts of wire and mesh that I had left on the grass and patio. It climbed on the wall and tested the electric fence. When it was going to have a strike at my fish, I opened the kitchen window and banged on the glass. The heron took off and flew into one of the overhead wires then made his escape.
