Ever since I returned to the USA, I never fully detailed what went down during the EK Redundancies ... But I've received lots of private messages over the years, and now that I'm happily working at a US-carrier, I took the time to go into ALL THE DETAILS... How did they do it? How did they decide whom to select? Did your contract matter?

The 2020 pandemic forced Emirates to ground all operations, leading to widespread concern among the crew about the future. As rumors of layoffs circulated, the lack of transparency from the company only intensified the frustration and anxiety among employees.

DESPITE ALL OF THAT... if you want the experience of a lifetime, I still recommend you apply to be Emirates Cabin Crew -- it's just important to understand what you are getting into & the ethos of this employer.
