One of the most beautiful and the most painful thing about humans is how much we feel. Way before you were birth, you had feelings inside the womb. After you were born into this world and as you grew up, you had more experiences of pain; good and bad, some of those experiences caused strong feelings, which made and left imprints on you. And many of you are still wearing those imprints today. Many try hiding them by wearing baggy clothing, a mask or dark shades.

What is an imprint? An imprint is a belief system or a deeply embedded memory that has altered how you see yourself, see someone else, or how you see the world. When something happens to you that leaves an impression, your central nervous system creates a picture of it and keeps it stored inside you.

We all have faced struggles, hardships, disappointments, failures, fears, abuses, whatever it has been we had to walk through it, which left imprints on our life and in our hearts. Everything that life has touched and if it has been marred, dampened, once you get into it or go through it—an imprint of that thing will be left on you. For an example: When a car tire goes through the mud—an imprint of the tire will be left in the mud and on the car tires. Footprints, trampled on a dampened ground will leave imprints. A slap against any body part will leave imprints. We normally, look like the very thing that we went through.

As it lives there, unprocessed, it can turn into what feels like an absolute truth, an unquestioned belief, an irrational fear, or, when the imprint is positive, a piece of wisdom or a positive self-concept form.
