Massive 4-Alarm Fire Destroys Abandoned Church In Santa Ana

05.07.2020 | 2:26 AM | SANTA ANA - A massive 4-alarm fire gutted an abandoned church, early Thursday morning.

Authorities responded to reports of a structure fire burning at an abandoned church located in the 100 block of East Santa Ana Boulevard, near Main Street, in the downtown area around 2:40 AM.

Crews arriving on scene located a large abandoned church with heavy fire showing and took up positions to extinguish the blaze.

Over 100 firefighters spend at least an hour working to extinguish the fire which was upgraded to a 4-alarm fire.

No injuries were reported but the church sustained major damage.

Fire investigators are on scene working to determine the cause of the fire.
