Aero Terminology: Mean Aerodynamic Chord

The Mean Aerodynamic Chord is a chord length, calculated from the wing dimensions, that is useful in determine an airplane's pitch stability. Learn about what the MAC is and how to calculate it.

Edit: There are two mistakes in the equations shown on the slide starting at time 15:20, for c(bar)n, the Yn should be replace by cn. For the Y(bar)n term, (b/2) should be replace by (Yn+1 - Yn).
