This is one of several pieces I took to my teacher Jean Langlais, during my course of twelve lessons at St Clotilde in 1985-86. I remember it as if yesterday. He was so precise but always so encouraging. He was a huge spirit with the most finely-attuned ear of anyone I've ever met.
