Eye-Opening Indigenous-Themed Road Trip Through Ontario (4K)

After months of COVID lockdown, we were getting pretty squirrely at home. We decided to take a mind-expanding family road trip through the cities of Brantford, Six Nations, Toronto, and Ottawa that was completely focused on Indigenous tourism experiences in Ontario.

The idea was to showcase First Nations experiences in Ontario that were still running in the new normal. It was phenomenal.

In Brantford, we visited the oldest church in Ontario, the 235-year-old Her Majesty's Chapel of the Mohawks.

In Six Nations we explored their replica 17th-century Longhouse at OSTTC. We also took in the childhood home of E. Pauline Johnson, and the magnificent Ontario glamping cabins at Chiefwood Park National Historic Site.

The next morning we experienced a magical stand-up paddleboard adventure along the Humber River in Toronto with First Nations operator Oceah Oceah. We experienced a side of Toronto that we had never imagined.

Our final stop was in Canada's capital, Ottawa for an amazing walking tour of the city's art and monuments with Indigenous Walks followed by dancing and a voyageur canoe ride on the Canadian Signature Indigenous Experiences on the shores of the Ottawa River.
