𝗥𝗲𝗳𝘂𝗻𝗱 𝗥𝗲𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗱: According to the RBI guidelines, if a transaction you initiated fails, the refund should be credited to your bank account within 7 days. If you have complained to your bank and they have not resolved the issue, you can escalate it to the RBI's Complaint Management System (CMS) portal. This rule also applies to ATM transactions.
𝗖𝗿𝗲𝗱𝗶𝘁 𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗱 𝗥𝗲𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗱: The RBI states that if you wish to close your credit card, you must inform your bank through any medium, such as email or phone, that you no longer wish to use it and want it to be closed. The bank is responsible for closing your credit card within 7 days, provided there are no outstanding dues on your card.
𝗖𝗿𝗲𝗱𝗶𝘁 𝗥𝗲𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁 𝗥𝗲𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗱: If you notice an error in your credit report, such as a name, an account you never opened, or a credit card you never took out, it is crucial to correct the mistake. In such cases, you should submit a written complaint to the bank and also report the issue on the CIBIL website within 7 days.
𝗟𝗼𝗮𝗻 𝗖𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗿 𝗥𝗲𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗱: If you have taken a loan, such as a housing loan, and you have received the No Objection Certificate (NOC) after completing your EMIs, the bank is responsible for returning the collateral within 30 days. If the bank fails to return the collateral within this timeframe, you are entitled to compensation of ₹5,000 per day.
