Numerous young individuals express a genuine interest in joining the Marines, yet when asked about their parents’ opinions, they often share that their parents are unsupportive. —Parents frequently advise them to consider other branches or pursue different paths.

My question is, why?
Why are parents so quick to view the Marine Corps negatively when they often lack knowledge about it?

Interestingly, there IS a solution: ask questions.

If you hear something that sounds questionable or even slightly off, why not approach a recruiter, and seek clarification? It’s essential to base decisions on facts rather than misconceptions or hearsay.
