Mesquite Live Edge - Wood Turning

My first time turning Mesquite. I found it to have beautiful grain and color and the bark is amazing when finished. The bark did give me a very hard time to keep it intact, even though it was quite tight to the wood. It just kept splintering off little pieces requiring a lot of time to repair and smooth but I feel the time was worth it for this gorgeous shellac finished piece!
