Indahome is a short ‘silent’ film by Nepenthes Sloth, with an original Nepenthes Sloth soundtrack. The setting is the not normally rock n roll location of an old people’s care/retirement home and we follow Percy, one of the residents. He’s sad at being abandoned by his family and he’s scared of death, but he doesn’t want to die just yet. In fact, he sees no reason why he can’t be very much alive and …well I don’t want to spoil the plot!
It’s a part tribute to the many people that seemingly disappear into care homes and the wonderful staff that look after them. Many of the younger generations see them and think that older frame and appearance is how they have always been. Maybe if they knew their story they would be surprised and shocked by a wilder youth. But does that wilder youth ever really go away? It may be stuck inside a less agile vehicle as the years roll on, but in many it’s still always there. Percy wants to help them rediscover it again. 'You may be old but you don’t have to act it' is his theory. And what better way that to jog the memory of a bygone era than through music? You hear a song you haven't done for years and you are right back there again.
There is much more to say about Percy and the others but that gives the story away. Maybe it’s just all in Percy’s head and that’s why he has been put in a care home, but maybe being a bit mad is the best way to stay sane? See if you can get the references and connections to characters of a famous book before it becomes much more obvious at the end!

The music is original and composed and recorded by Stephen Shelton aka Nepenthes Sloth (see if you can work that one out!?). The soundtrack is essentially 2 songs, with a reprise/alternative version of the first one in the middle. Stephen played all the instruments and did the recording. He also wrote and made the video.
