Hello everyone, in today's video I will be discussing the recent disappearance of Austin King Henke (22) who was working concessions in Yellowstone National Park. He went out for Solo hike that was supposed to be 7 days. On September 17, 2024 he called his parents from the summit of Eagle Peak and told them that the weather was awful.. rain, hail, wind, fog.. his next rendezvous was supposed to be a Yellowstone Lake’s Southeast Arm to pick up a boat on September 20, 2024. When he v failed to pick up the boat, he was reported overdue and a search and rescue effort was launched on Sunday the 21st.
The search has been going on since with several teams assisting with the efforts. Ground teams, dog teams, drones and helicopters are the main efforts in this search. His camp site was found on the evening of 09/20/2024 at upper Howell Creek. Unfortunately it did not yield any clues to his whereabouts. The NPS and authorities are trying to use cell data to get more information on where he might be.
