ABOUT "THE BRIDGE" :

The song "The Bridge" was written last Christmas on the way up to play at Woodford Folk Festival in Queensland. We were walking across a bridge and saw a group of young people not much older than us, obviously grieving. There were flowers and beer cans hanging on the side of the bridge. We found out their friend had lost his life when he had jumped off the bridge at a party for fun.
This really stuck with us, and we wrote the song that evening.

For the video, we wanted to create a mythical story which showed a group of young people being compelled by an invisible force. We wanted to explore the idea of fate, and we appear as two water spirits, a bit like The Norns in Norse mythology, who are mysterious beings who weave the fate of human beings.
We owe a huge huge THANK YOU to so many people for helping us with this amazing little clip! Adalita Srsen our incredible director of photography, Penelope Bartlau and Jason Lehane for letting us film on their incredible Red Barn Farm , Manav of Magnus Post :: Colour Grading and the City of Melbourne Arts Grant Program AND of course our AMAZINGLY TALENTED actors and excellent friends Joey, Astrid, Oliver, Dash and Kyra !!!

LYRICS:
I walked the way that you used to go
And I see your face in the cumulus clouds in the water down below
And I wonder why you ever came here
And you jumped so far that you'd always be falling until you disappeared

And oh, oh, oh what is there to say?
And all we have left is the wind

The silence now seems to swallow me whole
And our laughter it turned to howling when gravity took you in its hold
Now Christmas Day is bitter
carols silenced mid refrain
And I hear the sound of you hitting the water in their place

And oh, oh, oh what is there to say
And all we have left is the wind

You once told me you wondered what it would be like to fly
You once told me you wondered what it would be like to die

Taken to the air
You began your endless flight
