We are so excited to announce our new show: 'And the walls spoke.' The importance of female narratives throughout the history of literature cannot be overstated, but is often overlooked. As women, often our stories exist only as footnotes, lacking the depth of attention and precedent given to the thoughts and motivations of men.

Due to the pandemic this production will of course look a little different. Despite the challenges this poses, the team has come together and adapted to create an incredible show. This show, through exploring the multiplicity of the female experience throughout the prose and poetry of the past, will reclaim complex figures that are often drowned out by other voices.

'And the walls spoke' creates a sense of female growth from adolescence to eventual old age, exploring along the way sin and sexuality as well as the historical difficulty in expressed female narratives.
