Djembe Head Replacement :: Mechanical Drum Head :: New Goat Skin Drum Head

Описание к видео Djembe Head Replacement :: Mechanical Drum Head :: New Goat Skin Drum Head

Here I replace a drum head on a 11" mechanically tuned Sonor Champion Djembe. I used a 16" medium thickness goat skin replacement head. It was just large enough. I suggest getting a new replacement head that gives plenty of excess for easier installation. Getting the skin around the ring and through the hoop was quite a challenge. Do NOT tighten too much with head wet as it will pull through the ring. Allow 1-2 days drying time until the skin is completely dry before applying desired playing tension.

Tools needed:
Wrench to loosen/tighten adjustment hooks
Box cutter or Sharp knife
Duct tape
