བོད་ལ་དགའ། Tibetan Gorshay I love Tibet.

Tibetan circle dance,”Gorshay” is a tradition of sharing dance and music from one generation to the next. While this form of cultural idea thrives in our Tibetan communities world wide, the dance style and the rhythm at which individual Tibetan carry oneself through the dances has lost its essence. We now have potpourri of Ballet dance like movement called Tibetan Gorshay, where Tibetan youngsters and young adults do not question the authenticity of these dance movements and body languages. It is embraced with pride and sense of achievement. What remained is the dispute, divide and silence of individuals who carried the baton of cultural preservation. At the crossroad of all of this I am weaving the Traditional Tibetan dance movements into the Fabric of Today’s modern Gorshay hoping I can provide a window to Traditional Tibetan dance movements and body language.
