At 14 o'clock in the afternoon I took the ferry Marken Express from Volendam to the Island of Marken, spent on the Island of Marken about 3 hours and went back to Volendam with the last ferry and then by bus back to Amsterdam.

Frankly speaking, this day trip to Volendam and Marken has impressed me much more than Amsterdam itself. I am still enchanted and charmed by the magic atmosphere of these 2 tiny places, by the traditional colorfull wooden houses and narrow labirynth streets.
If you are in Amsterdam, I would highly recommend this trip!
