A registered charity supporting and promoting adaptive skiing, snowboarding and mountain accessibility, BC Adaptive Snowsports makes it possible for children, youth and adults with physical and/or cognitive disabilities to experience the freedom, excitement and health benefits of the outdoors. From the exhilarating altitudes of the hill to the comfort and coziness of mountain lodges, participants and families are supported through community connection, physical empowerment and even financial assistance.

The freedom to ride.

Whether recreational, competitive or to maintain a healthy lifestyle, adaptive snowsports is for any individual with a disability. Trained and certified volunteer instructors adapt lessons safely to meet individual needs. Grants, adaptive equipment and special events can be accessed.

The chance to connect.

BC Adaptive Snowsports is more than just sport – it’s engaging with one another; learning from peers; sharing jokes on the chairlift and being out on the slopes with family and friends. It’s an opportunity to help others and get involved. This is a community open to everyone – because everyone belongs.

The power to transform.

Discovering snowsports for the first time or returning to the hill in a new way gives chance for exploration – of the mountain and oneself. From overcoming a fall to completing a first run; coaching a new racer or cheering a student to their potential. It's a celebration of achievements – of growth, resilience and transformation.
