Many footballing fans might remember the blue and white stripes of Malaga ripping up European football just a decade ago. This was the result of money injected into the club by Qatari Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser Al-Thani.

However, 10 years later the club are in crisis and face the real threat of relegation to the Spanish third division after the Sheikh's money was abruptly pulled out after an historic champions league run. Years of conflict between fans and directors has followed and as we explained show no sign of calming down.
