Officials state that Andhra Pradesh is currently showing clear signs of financial stability, driven by key administrative reforms, expansion of revenue sources, and strict enforcement of tax compliance. Despite facing challenges after nationwide GST slab revisions—which caused annual revenue losses of nearly ₹8,000 crore for the state—Andhra Pradesh has successfully overcome the impact through sustained efforts and efficient tax administration.

According to official data, December 2025 recorded the highest-ever GST collections for the state since the implementation of GST in 2017. Net GST revenue reached ₹2,652 crore, marking a historic nine-year record. This represents a 5.78% year-on-year growth compared to December last year, surpassing the national average growth rate of 5.61%. Officials believe that consistent GST performance has become a strong indicator of Andhra Pradesh’s economic recovery and stability, and they are confident of achieving even higher revenue milestones in the coming year.
