This is a Youtube presentation of a series of walking tours produced for the historical city of Lexington, Missouri. The third CD guides listeners through the Civil War battle of Lexington by walking around the battlefield site, and then on to the historic Wentworth campus. Please note that Wentworth Military Academy & Junior College, featured in the second half, closed its doors in 2017 (after this recording was made), and that its campus is privately owned by Jubilee University, and may not be available to the public to enter. Please respect the owners of this property by not trespassing. Some of the memorials described in this tour have been re-homed downtown and in the Wentworth Military Academy Museum (located next to the Lexington Historical Museum on 13th and Main). These tours were designed with the participation of the University of Missouri Extension Program and the Lexington Historical Society.
