Three years ago Facebook's then-product manager Frances Haugen turned whistleblower when she leaked thousands of internal documents revealing the company's inner workings to the media.

Now, with Australia poised to update tech laws, she says our political leaders are at risk of fumbling a “once-in-a-decade” opportunity to regulate social media.
