The Maths Prof: Functions in less than 20 minutes!

In this lesson I show you all the basic methods you need to answer GCSE/IGCSE function questions. I have another 'Functions' lesson with exam questions on my channel.

*Tip: Perfect your algebra, particularly 'solving equations' and 'changing the subject of a formula' to become really good at functions*

If you want to skip to a specific part of the lesson, here's the breakdown...

Part 1: SUBSTITUTION questions. For example: f(-2), g(3), h(1/2), h(x+1), etc. 00:27
Part 2: SOLVING EQUATIONS questions. For example: Find x if g(x)=0.8 05:40
Part 3: COMPOSITE function questions. For example: Find ghf(x) 08:23
Part 4: Continuation of COMPOSITE functions but with SUBSTITUTION. For example: Find ggg(10) 12:23
Part 5: INVERSE of a function (note: may also be written as f ‾ ¹(x)) 15:43
