Tom Kristensen goes from 10th to 1st with a broken gearbox! | Goodwood SpeedWeek 2020

During the awesome Gerry Marshall Trophy presented by Sure, Tom Kristensen was sharing a mighty Chevrolet Camaro with Jack Tetley. Right at the very start of the race his gearbox began to break, first dropping one gear, and then another until the Danish motorsport legend was left with just second and fourth gears.

But of course even that was not able to stop the nine-time Le Mans winner as he slid his way through the field, eventually taking the lead just before he pitted to hand over to his team-mate. But the glory would not quite last. Despite an heroic effort from Tetley, after the Camaro also lost second gear, leaving him racing with just fourth, he wasn't quite able to bring the car home in first, but still held on for a podium at Goodwood SpeedWeek presented by Mastercard.
