We’ll start by breaking down the structure of the MCAT, which consists of four main sections:
1. Biological and Biochemical Foundations of Living Systems
2. Chemical and Physical Foundations of Biological Systems
3. Psychological, Social, and Biological Foundations of Behavior
4. Critical Analysis and Reasoning Skills (CARS)

Each section is designed to test your understanding of the essential concepts that medical schools expect you to know, as well as your ability to think critically and analyze complex information. The MCAT is a challenging test, but it’s also a great opportunity to showcase your strengths as a future medical professional.

We’ll also discuss the scoring system, which ranges from 472 to 528, with a score of around 500 being average. You’ll learn about what constitutes a good score and how to use your results to strengthen your medical school application.
