Voices of South London – Told by Young People:

We’re really proud to share this final film, created by the young people who took part in Voices of South London.

Over ten weeks, a group of young Londoners came together to explore what life in South London means to them – through storytelling, film, music and sound. Working alongside creative mentors, they shaped their own ideas, wrote and recorded their own words, and made decisions about how their stories should be told.

This film is the result of that process, reflecting everyday realities - pride in place, questions about identity, and the things that matter to South London youth growing up in the city today. It is not an adult interpretation of youth experience, but a youth-led piece – told in their voices, on their terms.

Voices of South London was delivered by Rekindle London as a free creative project for young people aged 11–14, creating space for expression, collaboration and confidence-building through the arts.
