Strategy in the Jobava London | Standard Chess

The Jobava London (1.d4 with 2. Nc3 + 3.Bf4) is a quirky system that has achieved main-line status in recent years thanks to a constant in-flow of exciting games by top-level practitioners. Against my 2368 rated opponent's kingside fianchetto setup, I opt for a quick Nc3-b5, inducing ...Nb8-a6 and looking to demonstrate that Black's queenside knight is misplaced. Playing quickly, my opponent makes a committal pawn push in the early middlegame.
