John lives near Maghera, a provincial town in Northern Ireland.
From his early days and through his years in the Merchant Navy, as a Purser on 'Round the World' passenger liners, John retained and developed his love for the music of the '50's and '60's.
After spending years in South Africa, he returned home to Ireland and has now recently retired... (well, semi retired)... from his long established business as a Chartered Surveyor and Estate Agent.
In recent years his passion for the music that stirs his soul has again 'come to the boil' and he loves nothing more than delivering either emotional Gospel music or the foot tapping sounds of Country / Rock / Blues and raising funds for some great charities.
John, together with with two seasoned musicians from the showband scene, Billy McCombe on keyboards and Cecil Brown on lead guitar have formed their band 'Second Chance'.
Together they take their audiences back on a nostalgic musical trip to the 'greatest musical era' of all time, the 50's and 60's and play the classic hits from those magical years!
