For the ganjang gejang, I added an unexpected twist that you won't find in most recipes - a whole banana! This unconventional ingredient adds an delicious sweet note to the savory soy marinade.

Meanwhile, the 양념게장 is made with 고춧가루 or Korean red pepper chili flakes that give the crab a kick of spice that's balanced by a touch of sweetness.
