Bellamy-Ferriday House & Garden (photos)

This video shows my photos taken on June 4, 2011 of all the flowers in bloom at the Bellamy-Ferriday House & Garden. It was a bright sunny day, but a bit windy which makes closeup shots more difficult if you do not have a great camera. My Nikon DX 3000 was up to the task. I used both the 18-55mm and the 55-200mm lenses to capture some photographs of the grounds which included some spectacular flowers and outbuildings. I did not use a lens hood for any of these photographs although it may have brought out more of the color if I had. I was able to capture some insects in flight using a high shutter-speed and you'll see a few of those photos in this video. I also used the high shutter-speed to capture the butterfly's wings as it just would not stay still! The Bellamy-Ferriday House & Garden is A Connecticut Landmarks Property and is located at 9 Main Street North, Bethlehem, Connecticut. The staff is friendly and the gardeners have done a wonderful job on the garden and grounds!
