The search is on for a wanted fugitive in Transylvania County.Scott McCombs is charged with killing Jerry Morgan in a hit and run crash a year ago in Brevard. Just weeks ago he pled guilty in a separate case to threatening to kill his family's pastor.McCombs is scheduled to go on trial for the hit and run in February. He skipped related court dates last week. Jerry's son, Gabriel Morgan, is asking for help.We don't know where Scott is the only thing we do know is Scott's running, said MorganThe Transylvania County sheriff says McCombs is mentally unstable.There are two active warrants on McCombs, said Sheriff David Mahoney. Our deputies have made numerous attempts to serve them.
