Sai Baba of Shirdi gave 9 divine coins to Laxmibai Shinde moments before he took samadhi. Dashami had the pleasure to witness and worship these coins on the set of Mere Sai. Abeer Sufi performed pooja for the coins and later on had a discussion about the coins with Mr. Arun Gaikwad, the great-grandson of Laxmibai Shinde, who made a special trip from Shirdi to Mumbai.
These 9 coins signify the 9 fold path of devotion as told by Sai Baba himself. Sai Baba gave these coins to Laxmibai, who took care of baba all his life.
The 9 fold path of Bhakti (devotion) is -
1) Shravana (Listening)
2) Kirtana (Devotion Music)
3) Smarana (Remembering )
4) Pada-Seva (Resorting to the Feet)
5) Archanan (Worship)
6) Namaskara (Paying Obeisance)
7) Dastya (Service)
8 ) Sahnyatva (Friendliness)
9) Atma Nivedanam (Surrender of the Self)


Sai Baba told 9 qualities that a devotee should have :

1) Absence of Egotism
2) Absence of Jealousy
3) Untiring Service
4) Absence of Worldly Desires
5) Complete Faith in the Guru
6) Peaceful Nature
7) Desire to Know the Truth
8 ) Absence of Envy
9) Refraining from Boasting & Finding Faults in others.
