The current administration has touted the building of a wall, attempted to implement travel bans, and separated migrant children from their parents. However, the current immigration detention and deportation machine was not built by the current administration. Let's not forget that it was the previous administration that deported more people than all the previous administrations combined. Yet, currently there are trends that are reflective of a different focus for the current administration.
