Seattle CARE Chief visits Key to Change

A few months ago, Seattle CARE Chief Amy Barden visited our studio and shared how deeply moved she was by our program. She spoke passionately about how music shaped her, how music can be equitable, how it builds resilience, and how important it is for kids to have someone who believes in them.

You might notice in this video she introduces herself as “Amy Smith”—but we’re thrilled to share that since this was filmed, she’s now Amy Barden. Amy recently married retired Seattle Police Department Deputy Chief Eric Barden. Congratulations to Amy and Eric, and thank you, Amy, for being such a powerful advocate for our mission and vulnerable people in our community.
