CP 2816 Final Spike Tour Chase Across Canada And The United States

To celebrate the merger between the Canadian Pacific Railway and Kansas City Southern, the newly formed CPKCR has restored Canadian Pacific 4-6-4 2816 "The Empress" for a 9,000-mile round trip journey from Calgary to Mexico City. This tour is historic as no steam locomotive has ever traversed three nations while on a run in North America before.

This video features footage of the CP 2816's 'Final Spike Steam Tour' from over 1,000 miles of the trip starting outside Calgary, AB at Indus and ending in Glenwood, Minnesota on the former SOO Line.
