Accusers Wade Robson and James Safechuck won the right to combine their lawsuits against Jackson’s companies into a single case.
The pair's lawyer, John C. Carpenter, says the Jackson estate is planning to release the movie in an attempt to "rewrite history."
Carpenter says the biopic is likely to portray the musician in a favorable light, as executives from Jackson's estate are listed as producers.
Jackson's estate has called for a delay in proceedings, claiming the case will not be ready for a jury until 2026.
Estate executives also say that the claims made against Jackson by Robson and Safechuck are "about the money."
