[Quick Demo] Custom Upholstery Car Headrest With Machine Embroidery

Описание к видео [Quick Demo] Custom Upholstery Car Headrest With Machine Embroidery

Today, I am embroidering on a car headrest using the Durkee 8-in-1 hooping system. I don’t use these hoops often, but they are great for unusual shaped or difficult to hoop items.

Thanks for watching my video. Hopefully, this was either helpful or entertaining to somebody out there!

📝 Detailed Breakdown:
For this project, we are going to be using our Durkee EZ Hoop system to embroider onto a car headrest. The materials I use other than the hoop system is the sticky tear away stabilizer and water-soluble marker. To prepare the hoop, I simply cut a sheet of sticky tear away stabilizer to fit the width of the hoop. With this, I turn the hoop upside down and stick the stabilizer to the bottom so that the adhesive grabs onto the hoop body and is in the open from the top side, allowing the headrest to stick to it when place on the hoop. The only preparation required for the headrest is to remove it completely from the foam and mark the center point to make it easier to align it for embroidery. Once those two parts are ready, I put the hoop onto the machine first then the headrest on after while using the needle and laser alignment tool to get the design centered. Once it is in the desired place, I press go and let the machine embroidery away! Once it is complete, you can easily pop the headrest off of the hoop and clean up any excess thread. When it is all cleaned up, simply replace the foam and insert to the headrest cover and then it is complete!
