===== About Evil Ryu =====
This is basically Ryu when consumed by the Satsui no Hado, making him 'evil'. Skin being darker tanned and having darker coloured clothing seems to be a requirement when being "evil" in a lot of fighting games.

Evil Ryu first appeared in the USA arcade version of vanilla SFA2 as a hidden character. Basically, Capcom USA added him in to put more secrets into the game. Evil Ryu went on to become a famous staple alternative version of him in future games, the PS1 version of SFA3 being one of the many examples.

Gameplay-wise, Evil Ryu is a good character in this game... it's almost unfair on what he has at his disposal as a shotokan character. However he is not as powerful as he was in SFA2. Think regular Ryu with some of Akuma's best moves and you have Evil Ryu.

===== About PS1 SFA3 =====
The PS1 version of SFA3 is a superb port considering the hardware limitations of the console. It actually has MORE characters and more content than the original Arcade version.

In comparison to SFA2, the animation for the larger characters (i.e. Zangief) and heavy animation characters (i.e. Gen) is much better this time round, and that's due to the hit sparks, block sparks, dust, etc. being rendered as 3D objects, which saves video memory for more character animation frames.

The extra features and modes, especially the World Tour mode, finds it's way to other console ports. Always remember that it originated from the PS1 version!
